The Borkum arrived last night at Christmas Island from Singapore ready to discharge the BK2009 cargo today, the weather conditions in Flying Fish Cove however are not suitable for the ship to safely work.

Zentner Shipping and ASC have been in frequent discussion with the Harbour Master and the Manager of Complete Stevedoring on Christmas Island regarding this port call. The weather forecast is for the conditions in the cove to remain unsuitable for the coming week at least.  Therefore the ship has been directed to head to Fremantle where she will load the BK2101 cargo and head back up.

The situation is most unfortunate but we are constrained by the local weather conditions.
